Maintenance mechanic

We are the third and newest branch of Calcit (Family owned company) and we are looking for motivated mechanical maintenance employees who can work independently but also in a team! We are currently in Terneuzen with +/- 40 employees.
About Calcit
We are one of the leading producers of high-quality calcium carbonate pigments, fillers and granulates on the European market. In short, we process minerals and stones into a liquid form that is then used in paper production. An example is the cover of magazines that becomes smoother, shinier and stronger because of our product. Needless to say, a good team with the right people is the key to our success.
The mechanic maintenance team works in three shifts. 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00, 22:00 – 06:00. You will have to rotate within these shifts.
As a maintenance worker you are responsible for:
- Performing preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment, including heavy grinding mills, classifiers, agitators and dosing systems;
- Inspecting, lubricating and carrying out vibration checks and analysis on mechanical equipment;
- Overhauling, rebuilding and replacing mechanical seals on high-wear industrial pumps;
- Performing precision TIG welding repairs on stainless steel processing lines, chemical dosing manifolds and high-wear or critical structural components;
- Troubleshooting and repairing high-pressure pneumatic transport lines, rotary valves and air compressor systems;
- Aligning belt drives, gearboxes, rotating shafts and heavy industrial coupling systems using mechanical indicators or laser alignment tools;
- Positioning, securing and aligning heavy machinery bases and structural steel frames;
- Installing and maintaining piping and hoses for hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
- Operating mobile equipment, including forklift trucks, to assist with maintenance and production activities;
- Actively participating in the manual cleaning of production areas, dust removal and loading final products onto trucks, train wagons and barges (approximately 15% of total working time);
- Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area and equipment;
- Performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor in response to the immediate needs of the working process.

- Salary: €3.300 - €3.960 (excl. overtime),

What we ask of you:
- You are in possession of a relevant technical/mechanical degree or qualification;
- Proven work experience in industrial mechanical maintenance;
- BHV and Forklift Certification: Active and valid;
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings;
- Good knowledge of industrial pump mechanics, including centrifugal, lobe and progressive cavity pumps used for abrasive slurries;
- Knowledge and practical experience with laser alignment tools for rotating shafts and coupling systems;
- Experience with heavy bearing mounting and dismounting techniques, including hot-mounting procedures;
- Advanced welding skills, including TIG welding of stainless-steel piping and high-wear components, as well as MMA (Stick) and MIG/MAG welding;
- You can work accurately and independently.
