Functieomschrijving
As Senior Structural Analyst you will work in The Naval & Structural group which is part of the department Engineering. The team work on project base divided over the various projects, in which they contribute to both basic engineering and detailed engineering within their field of expertise.

As Senior Structural Analyst you will make a structural design completed with relevant structural calculations starting from proposal phase up to yard support and delivery of the vessel. From general construction plans up to detailed calculations and integrated foundations will be part of the job. Calculations aspects are strength, stiffness, vibrations, buckling, fatigue, military loads such as blast and signatures aspects (for example inboard- and underwater sound), producebility, maintainability, etc. If necessary, FEM calculations have to be applied.

As Senior Structural Analyst you will be responsible for the relevant project deliverables from class approval of the structure up to technical meetings with your colleagues and suppliers, class or client representatives. You will direct the structural engineers in modelling the structure in 3D-CAD ending up with checking drawings and production packages You can be asked to contribute in R&D initiatives on behalf of the clients structural analysis discipline if needed. Also contributions to the department to secure knowledge and improve (internal-) processes is highly appreciated.

Key accountabilities As Senior Structural Analyst your responsibilities are:

• Deliver high‑quality engineering work within set timeframes and budgets, while adhering to all relevant quality standards. • Develop and document standards and working methods to enhance processes and methodologies. • Support the engineering of outsourced work packages, including design checks and design reviews. • Ensure full compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications from regulatory bodies and clients. • Integrate vendor and subcontractor information and conduct technical evaluations of quotations. • Collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and owners to ensure the proper integration of delivered components and systems into the vessel design.

Functie-eisen
• To succeed as a Senior Structural Analyst, you should demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes. • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. • You have at least five years of experience in ship structures, gained as a Senior Structural Analyst within the shipbuilding or offshore industry. • You are familiar with ship classification calculations and software tools such as DNV‑GL Nauticus Hull, LR‑SSC, or BV MARS2000. • You are proficient in FEM modelling and analysis software such as ANSYS, NX, or FEMAP, as well as CAD systems including NUPAS (3D), 3DX, or Catia. • Your competencies include creative problem-solving, accuracy, decisiveness, efficiency, and the ability to perform effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • You possess a strong command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken. • You can provide excellent references, as a security screening forms part of the recruitment process. • You must hold permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Due to the military nature of the projects, candidates with an EU (work) visa or with (also) a non‑EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible.
