Factory Design Engineer

Due to rapid expansion, we currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Factory Design Engineer
Wat ga je doen?
- Facility layout and process flow design: Ability to design efficient layouts for food processing, packaging, and storage.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards: Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EU food safety regulations.
- CAD software proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor for drafting and modeling.
- Utilities and infrastructure planning: Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, steam, water, and waste systems in food plants.
- Automation and control systems: Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and process control systems.
- Food processing technologies: Understanding of thermal processing, pasteurization, drying, mixing, and packaging systems.
- Material handling systems: Knowledge of conveyors, pneumatic systems, and robotic automation.
- Sanitary design principles: Ability to design equipment and facilities that are easy to clean and maintain.
- Work in compliance with all FPS administrative, health & safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Wie ben jij?
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial food factory design and engineering
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office, and other popular design software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Experience with potato, vegetable and protein industries is a plus
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Good communication in Dutch and English in combination with good collaboration skills
- Team player and able to build and maintain relationships for both internal and external stakeholders
- Traveling may be required depending on projects and client contact
