Area (Productie) Manager

The Role
The Area manager is responsible to ensure the safe, efficient and effective production of the hydrocarbon resins. This requires overall coordination of production, coaching & development, building a strong safety culture, quality assurance, continuous improvement in production and collaborating with other site support groups and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Engage, motivate, and develop the production team.
Lead and coach team members, providing feedback and appraisals.
Ensure effective recruitment and training.
Production Management:
Meet supply and efficiency targets.
Ensure safe, efficient operations and optimize plant reliability.
Execute production plans to meet customer demands.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor quality indicators and implement corrective actions.
Maintain quality management systems for product integrity.
Collaborate on product specifications and feedstock quality.
Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE):
Promote a safety-first mindset and ensure compliance.
Report and investigate incidents, acting as a Crisis Management Team member.
Continuous Improvement:
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for stability.
Drive initiatives to improve plant performance.
Participate in internal audits for safety and quality improvements.
Budgeting and Reporting:
Propose and manage operational budgets.
Ensure accurate data entries and effective communication.
About you
- BSc or MSc, preferably in Chemical Engineering
- Five (5) or more years production experience with two (2) or more years operations management experience
- Proficient in both Dutch and English
- Advanced computer skills (e.g. MS Office)
- Six Sigma certification and experience in structured Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Methodology would be an advantage
- Proactive safety mindset.
- Well-developed analytical skills, easy decision maker and tenacious in achieving results.
- Excellent planner and organizer with a high stress tolerance.
