The Role

As Integration Engineer Valves and Fittings, you will be the key expert responsible for the selection, integration, and validation of valve and fitting systems for complex vessel projects. Did you know that the piping systems on a single vessel can include over 5,000 valves and fittings? In this crucial role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors from proposal to final delivery — ensuring that systems meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

As Integration Engineer Valves and Fittings, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and define system concepts and select optimal valve and fitting configurations during various engineering phases. • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to align system integration across disciplines. • Prepare and review technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors. • Evaluate quotations and ensure that supplier deliverables meet project and regulatory requirements. • Collect, review, and validate supplier engineering data, ensuring availability for internal teams. • Conduct integration reviews and testing, focusing on valve and fitting interfaces and performance. • Identify and implement improvements in component integration and overall system design. • Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), installation, and commissioning activities (HAT/SAT) when required. • Collaborate closely with suppliers, classification societies, and other stakeholders. • Coach and share knowledge with colleagues to promote technical excellence and standardization.

Functie-eisen
We are looking for candidates with the following background and skills:

• Educational background: MTS or HTS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of piping systems, system integration, and relevant industry regulations. • Experience: Proven experience with valves and fittings in marine, offshore, or industrial projects. • Soft skills: Result-oriented, communicative, and proactive problem solver. • Languages: Fluent in English (Dutch proficiency is an advantage). • Software knowledge: Familiarity with CAD tools such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia) is a plus. • Availability: Willing and able to work on-site in Vlissingen (NL).
