In the role of Project Engineer for Interiors, you will be instrumental in turning visionary interior concepts into reality aboard some of the world’s most prestigious yachts. You will oversee the engineering process for all interior components, guaranteeing flawless execution that meets exacting standards for comfort, design, functionality, and strict safety regulations.

This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and project coordination skills. You will manage and support a team of engineers, provide clear direction, and take the lead in developing innovative solutions to tackle complex interior design challenges. Acting as the key contact between clients, production teams, and stakeholders, you will ensure that all aspects of the interior come together as intended. The ultimate mission? Delivering an exceptional final result that exceeds expectations and reflects true craftsmanship. You will report directly to the Lead Engineer and maintain close cooperation with the Project Manager Engineering (PME).

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance & Feasibility: Ensures projects meet all requirements and regulations; assesses manufacturability, and supports scope creation. • Team Leadership & Quality: Provides clear instructions, coaching, and supervision to engineers; monitors project quality and ensures accurate documentation. • Planning & Coordination: Participates in meetings, supports planning, manages information flow, and coordinates work distribution. • Communication & Collaboration: Interacts with the client, PME, Lead Engineer, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and production to align project objectives, report progress, and resolve issues.

Functie-eisen
• Experienced within Shipbuilding by preference, with experience within luxury yacht building with a Bachelor Industrial Design or other applicable technical fields. • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Engineer or 3 years as a Project Engineer (or similar). • A genuine passion for yacht building and a strong affinity and knowledge of components within exterior design. • Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams effectively. • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English. • Analytical, solution-oriented, and able to motivate and inspire. • Strong working knowledge of yacht building, relevant software (e.g., Autocad, NX, Cadmatic and Teamcenter), and applicable regulations.
