One challenge with many travel basses is that they are hard to hear because of the way lower frequencies project. Michael Kelly overcame this on the Sojourn Port travel bass in two ways. When you play acoustically you will notice the massive benefit of the small port that they've added to the side of the bass. This is positioned to point directly at the player, acting like a personal monitor. When you want to play in louder situations you can utilize the integrated Fishman electronics system. We selected the Fishman Presys II, which includes onboard bass and treble controls to allow you to dial-in your tone. The included tuner keeps you right on the mark.
